INSITU REPAIRS
At present, we undertake two different types of in-situ drain repair,
essentially, structural lining and localised patch repairs. In-situ
repairs do not require any excavation of pipe work and therefore
serve as a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative
to drain replacement.
LINING (CIPP) Cured in place pipe
In simplified terms lining is a method of rehabilitating the internal
surface of a pipe by introducing a continuous chemically hardened
sleeve.
Our in-house lining crew can carry out lining to drains from 100mm
in diameter through to 300mm; we can also line drains with 90 degree
bends without creasing the liner.
EPOXY RESIN PATCH REPAIRS
Designed more for a localised repair, fibreglass patches are a cost
effective solution to repair a cracked, fractured or damaged drain.
This technique essentially involves inflating and bonding an epoxy
resin impregnated glass fibre patch to the internal surface of a
pipe in order to seal and strengthen damaged areas of drain. Again
we are able to patch repair drains from 100mm through to 300mm
PITCH FIBRE REHABILITATION
In addition, we carry out a pitch fibre drain rehabilitation service
that incorporates the technique of pipe bursting and reshaping the
host drain then lining in one process.
LATERAL CUTTING / BRANCH RE-OPENING
After lining has been carried it is sometimes necessary to re-open
the now sealed off blind lateral connections. This is carried out
with a robotic cutter and CCTV camera. Once complete the newly lined
drain is now fully functional.
